Plus, you can use this huge collection of OCD Song Snowflakes. It’s a fun simple way to sing through a variety of songs for the new year with a winter theme!
3. Primary New Years Goals
If you want to set your Primary off on the right foot for the new year, why not work through some goals together with this cute Primary New Year Goals lesson plan! There are 3 in the post, but you can extend it to fit whatever your particular Primary might need to work on for the year.

One of my favorites for a sub can work any Sunday of the year is this Pin the Primary Song activity. You’ll fill a poster with songs from the past, future, or both! Then let fate decide which songs you’ll sing this week.
10. Teach Conducting & Rhythm!
There’s sure to be LOTS of wiggles in the Primary room due to the holiday and festivities, so why not turn to a super useful lesson plan that will give them movement and purpose! You can teach the children How to Conduct Music with this fun beat and rhythms activity.
11. Are You Smarter Than Primary?
Bring in your Bishopric or other ward leaders for a fun and unique challenge. This would also be fun way to utilize your ward missionaries! Ask simple Are You Smarter than Primary questions about Primary song lyrics to see if they can guess the correct answer. Then, sing through the song!

17. Heads or Tails Review Game

There’s often a transition to a new music leader towards the end of the year or beginning of the new year as the Primary Program and Christmas responsibilities end.
